MEET THE STAFF

The Learning Bee School was formed from the ideas of several parents sitting together discussing their need for support in their
homeschooling. We all needed help in one area or another. Our love for our children and the homeschooling community drove us to pull together to cooperatively teach the next generation.

Our leadership team and advisory board is comprised of individuals with various backgrounds who are all
committed to supporting the homeschooling community in our area.

Crystal Hux
Owner and Director

Crystal is a wife and mother of three girls. Originally from Lilburn, Georgia, with deep Florida roots, she has a diverse background in education, horticulture, art, animal care, corporate business, and community service. Her family settled in Lake Wales in 2017, where they homeschool and run a small hobby farm.

With over eight years of homeschooling experience, Crystal has been active in various volunteer roles, including 4-H, American Heritage Girls, and local homeschool groups. She felt God’s call to start The Learning Bee School to support families seeking a Christ-centered, academically strong homeschool partnership.

April Polynice was born and raised in Central Florida. She has been married to Widny Polynice for 13 years and has two children, 10 and 11 years old, that have been homeschooled from the beginning. Her experience with teaching is eclectic and expanding. She's the K-5 children's director at her church, a NAYS certified cheerleading coach at a local youth recreation center. She has taught in a co-op setting and helped co-lead an active preschool group in the past.

"Working with kids and adjusting to their specific needs is something I love to do. I understand that every child is not designed the same and I strive to make sure each child gets individualized attention and adjustments as needed to help them do their best. I believe progress forward is worth celebrating, no matter how large or small a step."
